big beach sports is it safe to take update on moded wii

hi all sorry im new to this ive just chip my wii today and burnt off big beach sports but before it loads the game it wants to do a update is it safe to do the update?? the modchip is a d2sun 1.2 other games work fine its just this one wants to do update my wii is on update 3.3E
