Call of Duty 4 vs Call of Duty : World at War

I've only played World at War, but I'm wondering about everyone else's opinions. Is Call of Duty 4 better than World at War? But, what makes World at War so special that everyone thinks it's better?

I personally like Call of Duty 4 better than World at War. I enjoy using modern weapons and fighting during modern times.

I have to agree with this. Overall, this one is actually my favorite in the series.

CoD 4 imo is better in gameplay, but I love the graphics in WaW

To be honest I didn't really get into COD 4 as I didn't own it myself but I played it and it was pretty good, I don't feel that there is too much difference in quality between the two games though.
