Hosting Online Games

I'm not sure if this is the right section, but if you wanna move it, go right ahead..
Anyway, every time I try to host a game on BNet, no one ever joins. Is that because of some sort of glitch, or has everyone on the internet just banded together and agreed not to join any of my games?

Maybe that is because you are not able to host.

I assume that you have a router. You will have to open ports on your router which shouldn't be hard at all.
Please tell me what kind of router you've got.

Ya I remember how to do that also. I have a router also.
But, it could also be a firewall. In that case you would have to set Warcraft to be allowed to access the internet.

Well, I used to be able to host games, but recently people just stopped joining, and I eventually realized that something might be wrong with my computer.
...um... I don't know what a router is :/

A router is used instead of a firewall because it is an external device that blocks incoming unwanted things instead of a firewall which is on your computer and is less effective.

Hmmm... well, I don't have any firewalls or routers that I'm aware of...

Well, my parents said that our comp has some firewalls, but they aren't getting rid of them. I guess I'll just have to join other games from now on...
