the wii only suports wireless connection (with wireless router or a WIFI usb connector)
to connect the wii with a cable you need to buy a internet port for the wii that you plug in in the usb port... i think

Or, you can invest in a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector that allows you to share your Internet Connection from your computer w/ your Wii and even your DS as well. It's great and I recommend it if you can't find the LAN Adapter.

Oh really? Because over here, you could find one for $30 or even less. My friend gave me his USB Connector, for which I'm grateful.

Does anyone know where I can get one cheap? My wifi went out on me :(

If you have a USB connector cable then just find the USB port in the back of your Wii, but if you only have a LAN cord then you can buy a LAN cable converter to convert LAN to USB and therefore plug in to the back of your Wii.

Or you can buy a USB-Wireless Adapter like how everybody else is saying.

I always like to recomend DealExtreme.com
Everything is cheap and there is no tax + free shipping. Only downside is that you would have to wait around 1-2 weeks for delivery, but thats like every other online store.

Heres a USB Wifi Adapter. It says PSP on it, but it works for everything. It works exactly like the official Nintendo DS/Wii one. I have one and the only con is that the instruction manual is in Chinese, but its pretty straight forward anyways.

Heres a USB LAN Adapter. Its not the official one, but all USB LAN adapters works the exact same. I haven't tried this one in particular, but just letting you know you don't need an official LAN adapter. You could also find one of these at a hobby computer store for around the same price. They are meant for laptops, but as I said, it works the same way.

(btw, if you sign up to dealextreme, do me a favor and put Sousanator as your referrer)

Thanks! I'll look into that. Does anyone know how close you have to be to computer to use this or if you have to have internet on the computer you are using to get it to work and if you could plug this into the usb in the back of the wii :p That would be cool :)

*Edit* Just checked and you can't :( Do you think that you would have not as much lag if you had a direct link to your wii?
