Background music?

i juz want to know... is it possible to have a different background music on your map? instead of having the background music of orc, undead.. ect. i want to have my own background music. how can i do that? help pls! thanks!

You can use the import manager to import your own music and then use the Sound Editor to use it.

But bewatre: sound types are MASSIVE AS HELL!!

The smallest ammount of space one of my musics in a failed map took up was 986 mb...about 1/4 of a map size!

It depends on the lenght and quality of the music file, you can decrease it alot and still contain a ok sound quality. You can do that thru the program WinLAME which you can get at www.download.com and other places.

You can use two sound formats, WAV and MP3, for music it only exists the last one. MP3 allows neat compression level towards not bad quality. I suggest you using maximum 96 kbit quality. It provides good quality/size relation. To encode music in these settings, you need any program that allows you to encode MP3 files, like LameXP, WinLAME (mentioned by rage) or so. You can encode music to 64, 56 kbit, and compare their quality and choose which fits your needs best.

BTW try putting some gangsta musik on it like Ride Wit U or I'm in love with a stripper or even The Thong Song. I'd play it 24/7. ^_^ Just a suggestion though. oh yeah and GL ON THE MAP YOU MAKING!!

Despite my love fo' it, I don't think Gangsta rap goes all too well wit fantasy (specially not sisqo)
mind u,Wartime by MOP fits in perfectly with Warhammer dawn of war.

But yeah,GL with the map,and so on.....
