Black screen

now, i've read the topic about error codes, and the link where it says no fix for black flash...but im wondering, is this a permanent problem, or can it be fixed by un-installing the game and try a fresh start?

It usually gets fixed by reinstalling, try saving under C:/ itself, not C:/ProgramFiles/
