its jsut a ftp server, nothing specail...

so im like sweeet now i can host files for all you kids without wastin my time at other sites...then i find out you cant host jack, i ahve to login to access anything... GAY!!!!!

if it is possible to host files would you kindly let me know before i go on a rampage?

But Cas, doesn't it use anonymous FTP? In other words, you plug in the word anonymous for a username and your email address for the password? If so then your web browser should by default log in for you. Or maybe you're trying to tell us that nobody on the outside can get in unless they use your username/password for your cable account? If that's true that would definitely suck.

its been a while, but yes i think u can set it up to allow anonymous

yes you ahve to use my SN and pass

it wont allow anonymous, yes it sucks, but i can just people my name, i dont even use the account and its not teh amster
so its no biggie

You had a few typing problems in that post but I got my handy dandy translator out. If you ever need a dumping spot for files and don't care if others might be able to see it, then AIM me and I will provide you with a folder. I have to warn you that my server has an agent that cleans everything over 14 days old.
