Error! Server verification failed.

Does anyone know how to fix this, I`m gettin it and can`t get to any server. Punk won`t come up on the server list or in my favorites,when I type in the ip nothing happens.

Have you tried restarting steam? Make sure you log out and then back in again. Might work.

I`ve done it all punx won`t come up at all and I keep gettin that Server verification failed error

i HAVE GOT THAT 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 DAYS, i THOUGHT IT WAS AN ERROR WITH MY NEW MDL FILES BUT IT WENT AWAY WHEN i RETRIED THE CONECTIION EACH TIME.

I've been having the same error off and on for the last 36 hours. But closing steam completly and restarting it fixes it each time.

A guy in the steam forums claims this fixes it and most are saying it is related to a recent update and Valve knows about it. Meanwhile, this is supposed to get you out of the woods:

1. Exit Steam


2. Go to your

Drive:\Program Files\Valve\Steam

folder

3. Delete the file called

"ClientRegister.blob"

4. Restart Steam / Log In / Go Play

hey i had that same problem the other day...it took me three times before it started working..then by the time it did the damn server was full :evil:

Yeah, i had the very same problem. The first time i saw this BS error, i started cussing STEAM [ FCKIN' bastids]. :evil:

i also ahd this problem a few days ago, its happened to me alot actaully since steams inception. but if you delete the client blob as puppet stated it will work once again

I know it`s two days later but monday I shut down steam and restarted it a few times and it still did`nt work for the servers I was tryin get into.It was really strange, punx would not come up on my server list, favorite list or history list. I tried to re-enter the ip again and it would not come up. So then I went to my filters and changed secure to unsecure and the punx server came back up.

yeah...Punx is showing up as an unsecured server for some reason.

when I finally got into punx Deviant had his hands full tryin to kick all the hackin stemwackers, there were alot of new names I`ve never seen. Is that because it was on unsecure?
