Another method is pressing Alt + Esc and then pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del ... Sometimes CA freezes if you just open up the task manager and you cant see the task manager or go back to your game and your stuck. So I usually minimize it and then close the process Engine.exe by right clicking it and pressing End Process.
