The guy that has my store now gets stuff stolen all the time. Much worse than me. He had a bunch of PSPs stolen, games, and Cell Phones too. He also had an inside job robbery where his own employees held the place up and took about 5-7k worth of shit. He found out it was them but the police felt there was not enough evidence to arrest so they got away with it. I had 2 burglaries in 10 years...they were both in my first 2 years of business when I was a n00b. One robbery cost me at least 15k and I closed the store immediately (inside job too) and the other was a wall break in from the back...they got about 8k worth of merchandise. The first one people got caught arrested and jailed however I didn't get a dime back or even a single game. I think the detectives kept them. It's a pretty corrupt system in NYC as far as I am concerned. I was never insured for any of this either. Insurance would have cost me 2-3k per year at least. So multiply that by 10 years to that and I still came out ahead.</p><p></p><p>The most amazing was when someone did an armed robbery on the store (my last couple months there). The jerk off kid came in and put his finger in his jacket and said to give him the game. He took like 8 copies of Grand Theft Auto. How stupid can you be to rob a place like that and not demand MONEY but demand a game. I sure wish I had a gun in my store to shoot that mother fucker. The employee who was at the counter fucked it up. I would have told the fuck to fuck off. Then after the guy leaves the employee waits at least 10 seconds to tell me we just got robbed...I was like WTF. I put the chase on but the guy got too much of a lead. It's bullshit. I fired the stupid fucker. Who was that Andy? I can't even remember now. Was that Dave Hensley? I didn't fire him...but I thought I fired the guy who was at the register at the time. Bah...I fired too many people in 10 years to remember them all.
