ok so check this shit out. i flew home after christmas to spend time with my family and friends. well when i fly back, 2 weeks later, i am walking to my car when i see that the shit in my car was out of place. so i open the door and my entire system had been stolen, around 1200 dollars worth of equipment, gone! whoever did it knew what the fuck they were doing because my passenger door lock had been drilled out. the airport said they had had like 10 other incidents of peoples cars being broken into in the past month. i park in long term parking, with 24 hour security, but nooo they cant even do their jobs right. so i filed the incident report and i got a crime lab unit coming tomorrow because i spotted some finger prints on my dashboard right above where the cd player use to be. i mean seriously, the people that take the tickets are fuckin idiots, who goes into long term parking which is meant for like more than a week and then leaves 1-2 hours later?????? i mean the people who take the ticket should have been like why are you leaving so soon, and even the cops have told them that if anyone is there for only a couple hours to hold them there and wait for the cops to get there to check them out because there had been a shit ton of larceny in the past month. this shit fucking sucks

You can go to long term via the airport then go back into the airport and leave. You don't have to even have a car in there.

Well, I thought that if you lived on the base that you could submit a claim to the base. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought some military guy once told me that it is some sort of legal responsibility of the government. So, you didnt answer my question about insurance so I guess that means no.

well i never told my insurance about the system, i didnt think it mattered. i guess i thought it would never happen to me. im gonna call them tomorrow and see what they can do.

omni - well if they did that then u would see a bunch of dudes carrying out my box with my 2 subs in it and my amp and my cd player, and they couldnt have jumped the fence. so they had to have driven in there

i hate to be a bearer of bad news but if they dont have a record already finger prints dont mean squat for they have nothing to go on unless they get caught...and finding the equipment is even less likely bc no1 will be able to check the serial numbers unless they find there stash and it hasnt been installd in some1 elses car..gl with that i used to do be a midnight marauder
like that so i kno how easy it is to get away with it :/

Being in Insurance now and all. Your auto coverage should include Audio Equipment. But most will only cover 500-1000 on after market stereo equipment (for the statistical reason that stereo equipement is so often targeted) All companies will let you buy an Endorsement to cover all of the cost..........so if you guys have 2 or 3k invested in an aftermarket system, be sure to call in and get that endorsement (it's not that much) or you're going to be S-O-L when it gets stolen.
