GetDeviceCaps() failed and error 484

Unable to send the renderer it says for error 484 and i have DirectX 9.0C and a graphics card that supports TnL.. WTF do i do it worked on my laptop..

well are you playing on your laptop? if not there is more than likely a diffrence in your graphics card which is most likely creating the problem...
