Going somewhere?

If you are going somewhere, doesn't really matter where (would it be school, work, going to a friend, etc.) do you have something along that produces music? Think of an Ipod, Mp3player or a Discman as example.

I personally always carry my mp3 player with me not really mattering where I go. Putting it on is a different matter though. But I tend to lose to music all the time when going somewhere, unless I'm in the company of friends and we're talking (happens the other way around too). If I don't have my mp3 player, then I tend to have my mini-radio, but those earplugs tend to hurt...

Well, it's not just on the way there that I listen to the music. I tend to have it on at other places too. Currently I am at school, with my mp3 player on. True, I am having a free hour, but still, during classes (the non-important ones, at least; I wouldn't dare to have it on during law-class) I tend to have it on too. And at work they had a radio, so...

I have my iPod Nano with me at all times. It's an older Nano, but oh well. It has been really reliable for me.
I have it on in school (not in class, at least not usually) and just whenever I feel like listening to music. Ah...I love my iPod :p

sorry for somewhat necro post but im bored
i have music with me all the time, my liife pretty much revolves around music, my friends and i mainly talk about music and alot of people who are my friends are mainly my friends because they like the same stuff... for some strange reason if someone disagrees with me in anything im alright with it unless its music, for instance if some one told me they were iono lets say gay i would be like rock on more power to ya just dont come after me i dont swing that way, but if some one was like, yeah joe satriani sucks, im much more into country i would flip out and be like "WtF is Wrong Wif u Nubz!?"

Sounds kinda poor to me. =P

When being among friends, music is usually not a subject that is quickly discussed. There were two friends from school (who ironically both (quite recently) quit school) where I talked a lot about music. One of them was trying to encourage me to like a particular style of music by letting me hear some artists. Besides that, he had a wide list of live performances of artists which I knew (not necessarily liked), which Muse, Red Hot Chili Pepers and Betty Serveert were the most common (not necessarily in that order).
The other guy was very interested in Trance, which I am quite fond of too. We've had several long conversations about the most famous person of that style and that he would pretty much follow him everywhere would he be back around the Netherlands (Great Brittain, Germany, Belgium, etc. though I'm not sure about Great Brittain; his English sucks), but ironically he didn't go to Amsterdam last year, where I, on the other hand, have been (and is still one of the best live performances I've ever seen in my entire life; I still get goosebumps when I see a little fragment-movie from it). He also stole my mp3player for a day, where he constantly listened to the same artist (or actually, 2 artists) over and over again. Thanks to me, he became a fan of them. We were supposed to go to a (free) concert of them, but I decided to not go at the very last minute; I'm not sure if he still went. My favorite football team was live on TV, and I value that more than seeing those artists live for a little while and traveling for at least an hour (by train).
He also went to a big dance event (which he skipped an entire school week for), which I later told him I was quite jealous about it, because I am quite fond of that as well. "Oh? If you wanted to come along, you should have told me. I still had tickets." Imagine how hard I could kick myself. =P It was one of the biggest events of the year.

I don't talk about music much with other friends, not because the tastes very heavily, but it's not a subject that is really necessary to discuss. Besides that, what is there to discuss about it?
Though I can name one person I've never talked about music before (except that I invited her once for a concert last year), but this is simply because our tastes vary too far, despite that I like nearly every kind of music.

i can kick myself in the head 10 times in seven seconds

my love for the music i listen to is comparible to some peoples love for chris rock's comedy... it just doesnt make sense

however on a other concert related story, ozzfest tickets are free this year so im pretty much going, im not sure whos in the lineup but most likely there will always be a good band on one of the stages at any one time

I have a CD/MP3/WMA deck in my car that I listen to all the time, but other than that, I don't have any sort of portable music player.
