The twlight hack is now obselete the new way to hack a wii is here.
In theory this should work on all system menu version.

to play homebrew, play games from other regions, play wiiware from japanese shop, backup games to a hard disk for easy access....the list goes on.

this works with wii's with no chip and no zelda hack???

any trouble installing bannerbomb for playing backups from vc or wiiware??? (ex: brick)

basically its a replacement for the twilight hack so should be just as safe

I remember trying a different wii hacking thing, and I couldn' figure out how to save to the "root" of my SD card, so how do you do it?

When you insert your SD card into your Pc and you 'view files on SD card', the first window that comes up is the 'root'.

So, you would have SD:/root/ and all other files and folders start here. This is where you would put the Homebrew Channel boot.dol.

But again, if you unsure of any of this then Homebrew probably isn't for you
