I didn't really like football during that time. Not only did I learn that SC Heerenveen was a very nice team, it's style reflects a bit of my own personality as well. Maybe it's because I enjoy the Northen Frisian area, but that might just be one of the main reasons. Grand player, Abe Lenstra, was definitely one of the reasons to make me a supporter of the Frisian team as well. Quite a number of years has passed now, and I am still a supporter of the official number 4 of the Netherlands. </p><p></p><p><div align="center"><img src="http://www.albionroad.com/Logos/sc_heerenveen.gif" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></p><p><em>SC Heerenveen's logo, similar to the Frisian flag. I do know a few other Heerenveen supporters, but none of them are living close by... or at the very least, an hour by train away. Most people I hang out with (that like football, that is; only people from school in other words) are fans of other teams. Ajax (Amsterdam, the capital), Feyenoord (Rotterdam, the haven city) and Vitesse (local team) comes to mind, mostly. After all, SC Heerenveen <em>is</em> one of the most successful teams in the Netherlands. It's unfortunate that most journalists (or people in general) tend to ignore Heerenveen mostly though. When Feyenoord beat the English team, Middlesbrough, every newspaper was full of it. Only recently, SC Heerenveen played Middlesbrough as well, and beat them with a higher score. He ignores the East quite much too, come to think of it."</p><p></p><p></p><p>Wolf is probably the strangest name I know of someone I personally know. Besides him, other names are quite... normal. The most remarkable names of people I've met would probably be Tieme (Klompe, a football player), Lindo (Duvall, a radio DJ) and Preety (a friend). Even though Tieme is a normal name in Frisian, (I'm not Frisian) Lindo is just not very common and Preety is probably related to her parents' home country. I'm not fully Dutch either.</p></blockquote><p></p>
