"A Richland County inmate who hanged himself Friday did not appear
suicidal during his three-day stay at the jail, authorities said
Monday.
Joe Frank Sampedro, 28, of Columbia was "joking and cutting up" with
jail staff before he was found hanging from a sheet in his cell,
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said."
