Well you know that America supported him all the way. The reports that I got this morning were that there was a very slim chance of his survival. The big problem here is that if we look at the political arena right now in your country, there really isn't a lot of good choices that represent his abilities.

i could see him still playing a role...
after his stroke in December and he came back for more
theres no doubt that he still be arround.

i just find it fucked up that he helped start 1 party a long ass time ago
and now hes having to leave it because the people in it are stupid
and he is starting this other one now...

Yeah, I am not so sure about that, it really depends on the severity of the stroke. My uncle had a stroke and he came back fine, no real visible effects, however I have heard of people being completly debilitated, with either massively slurred speech or not ability to speak at all. The first one he had wasn't too rough, but it sounds like this one was a majorly bad one.

With the news reports (as much as they sway them anyway) it seems like he will step down.

Did he already have the cermony to transfer power. I know he was going to do it before the other surgurey, but now he has the stroke to deal with.

The heart condition could of caused a regurtation of the blood in the heart causing clots to form which in turn could of moved to the brain and caused an over pressure, which resulted in the CVA.

Always sad to hear a world leader falling gravely ill. Sharon did some good things in Israel and was a great political ally to the US. We wish him well.

Strokes are hard luck
note poor ole dicky clark on new years.(what a champ)

Hoping Mr Sharon makes it out of his well, and hoping in his absence some fool doesnt push them buttons.

"JERUSALEM, Jan. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Ariel Sharon opened his eyes for the first time since he was hospitalized on Jan. 4 for a massive stroke and brain bleeding, an Israeli website said on Monday.

The Yediot Ahronot paper reported on its website the movement of the Israeli prime minister, who has remained in a medically induced coma for nearly two weeks.

However, the report has not been confirmed by Jerusalem's Hadassah Hospital treating Sharon."
