missing file

Anyone know what this file is

WINDOWS\misiexec.exe

mines sorta missing....a msg about it comes up everytime i restart my computer

apparently there are a few different situations involving this exe file. a quick google search brought up threads about viruses(drop trojans) and nero problems. i think the best thing you could do in this situation is to do an repair installation of windows xp from the cd, then before you do anything else run a virus scan. there are free online virus scans available at www.trendmicro.com and www.pandasoftware.com.
