n00b question

Okay, while playing source I checked the option for fast weapon switching, ie, when I rolled my mouse wheel my weapon switched without having to look up and see what weapon was selected and then click to switch to that weapon. My stoopod question to you is how do I do that in CZ? I'm bad enough as it is, and the weapon switching should help me out a little.

well, if you use w a s d for moving, if you hit q it will automatically switch to you last selected weapon. For instance, if you have your pistol out then you select your rifle, you can hit q and go straight to pistol and vice versa. Or you can always use your mouse wheel but sometimes you go past your weapon and then you pull out a nade or knife.

You can either type that in console, or just have it in your userconfig file so you dont have to type it in console each time you play...

you put it in console. you shouldnt need to enter it everytime you play though, i think its one of those things like fps_max, they just stay at what you set them. i could be wrong, but i never have to re-enter mine.


p.s. you get into console by pressing ` (just in case you didnt know)

rgr make sure config.cfg is not read only for one round and it should keep.

also, Q is the greatest button ever. if you have never Q'd before, do it now!
