AMD 64 3500+
GeForce 7300 GS 256mb
1 gig mem
250 gig HD


so this is a bit of an upgrade from what I was on...

Don't get too excited yet

Nice specs man but the 7300 GS is a bit weak having memory interface of only 64bit and 4 pixel pipelines.



But you should run CZ smoothly as well as other applications

the 7300 will run source fine. the +3500 pushing will give you 120 fps, the only difference might be some visual quality. From reviews on the web at 1024x768 that card will hold 60fps.

Well the viedo card is just to hold me over, I plan on getting the 7900gt once I can afford it. The 7300 was just a nice budget card til I have some cash again. Anything is better then my geforce4 MX I had been playing on.

Cool dude...finally maybe we can get this CZ server popping. I did my best this weekend but it was a bit lame. We maxed on Saturday with 15.

That is a good game plan.

I have a semi-new computer going togher, I have a check in my pocket.

What I have coming out if it is a new motherboard for my AMD chip. I also have added to the card 2gb of patriot ram and an ATI x1900xt. I plan on this being a holdover until multi-core gaming gains ground.

My uncle is going to be the proud owner of a 3.2 ghz dual core intel chip. He uses a computer like I am now. Dual cores are much faster and smoother for daily applications. He is also getting 2gb of ram. Vista beta takes 700 mb in the OS for ram. I believe it is active memory management, so the more ram the better.

I am happy with my this new machine.. When I can afford $400+ on a video card I will.. In a couple months.

Ok, so I am getting from 50-110 depening on the map and the server...

Nice upgrade from my steady 10-30fps on my old machine.

This will hold me over a month or two....

Question though... How am I getting 110fps in source but still not topping 60 in CZ?

Is that set at a limit or something?
