Part/Full-time work

A short time ago, some political guys out here were discussing on tv what the age would be set for children to work. They agreed that twelve (or thirteen, what was it again?) was too young but did agree on a specific age, which I cannot recall anymore. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised at whatever age someone is working.

But do you currently work at a part-, or full time job? If so, where and do you like it? Do share a bit about it. If you aren't, tell us why.

I currently am not working. I had a summer-job last summer (it feels like only a few weeks ago now) at a place I've worked before and I enjoyed it a lot. The company I worked at rents buildings (houses and the like).
Despite my really flexible school scheldue, I am currently not working. Two friends at school asked me why, but both of them never got a serious answer. Mostly it was the: "You know I'm too lazy"-answer. There is no truth why I am currently unemployed. I guess it's because I really am lazy, because I usually do have enough spare time, despite doing some particular stuff on the internet. I don't really like working with time scheldues anyway, though statics do prove that I work better with those things.

So... how about you guys?

Oh, that reminds me of a friend of mine... =_= "Studying! Oh yeah! For fifteen more years now! Who cares about the money? Daddy is paying anyway." (the guy who said this is one year younger than me)

I work at a software company whenever I'm not in school (only 3 more weeks of school left, yay!). I plan to work there full time starting in January. As for the job itself, I absolutely love it as it involves nearly every aspect of programming and hardware that I find enjoyable.

The software is basically for large companies to optimize how they run and what goods to buy and sell (basically, large-scale planning software). I write some of that software and also do web programming for the company website.

Yeah, I'm currently on break from university, although I still work during Uni. I have two night-time jobs, one i deliver pizza's and train the new delivery drivers, the other I am a cleaner and clean a bookstore. Heh, they aren't the best jobs but they both pay well :)

lol it would be awesome to have like 10 people working at a mcdonalds all livingi n one house together... that would be funny

Well, a classmate of mine works for McDonalds, but I'm not sure what she is thinking. As I recall, she's sixteen (referring to Undead). Some minor funny situations unfolded because she was working there...
Though living in the same house doesn't really ring any bell for me for being funny...
I do know that last year, I took a girl out to eat (at McDonalds, that day ended up as one of the worst days in my life; it would have been worse if I didn't hear that evening that I graduated) and she knew the guy who was 'helping' behind the counter. Apparently that guy lived nearby. She left me a bit clueless at that specific moment though... but that's quite normal when I'm around her.

She has an illness which causes her to skip school from time to time. Strangely enough, she does go to work every time. :p Last monday, I went out with two friends, and by coincidence, we met her outside of school. She quickly ran when she saw us. A day later, one of her project-members asked me:
"Is <name> at school today?"
"Not a clue. I'm not at school."
"You're home?"
"Yeah."
"Still going to school?"
"Yeah."
"Give me a call... err... sms when she's at school, 'kay?"
"Well, she wasn't at school yesterday, or the day before yesterday. But we did meet her in 'the city'."
"Oh, that suspecious. I would like to have a talk with her."
"That's creepy... coming from you."
"That was my whole intention."

As for Undead, as I recall, the age limit is lower than sixteen out here. It is a rough guess, but I think it is fourteen. Fact remains that the salary between even the fourteen and sixteen is huge. It's a bit embarrasing not knowing about it though, as you know, I am studying that kind of stuff. :p

oh i meant it would be funny because in the US most people who are working in mcdonalds are either 16 or failures, but if one whole mcdonalds where to all buy a big house together they could probably all live in a mansion and it would be funny to think about what happens there noting that they would all probably be failures (hardcore pot heads and "special" people)

Think so? I like the food at McDonalds. This is not related to my 'worst-day-ever' day. :p (long story, ask if you want to hear)
