Paypal will always contact you using your ACCOUNT NAME. Always remember that. If you get an email that says "Hello friend", "Dear Paypal Member", "I am nigerian royalty"...

Delete it.

Also, you can usually check the status bar when you mouse over the link. (Status bar = lower left of your screen in the browser just above the start button...fucking duh) Anyway, it will usually be some crazy shit like (don't click this) http://account.status.paypal.3341th.ru?=askjhas7868askjds or some shit. That is NOT a paypal link. A paypal link is gonna look like this: http://account.paypal.com or something. Not some off the wall bullshit.

btw...PayPal is the biggest bunch of scammers in history next to the Government and Religious groups.

Especially when it comes to adult oriented shit. If you have someone pay you with their account, and they used that account to pay for any kind of adult services, and paypal finds out about it, they sieze not only his account, but many times they will sieze your shit too. And just....hold it. And hold it. And hold it. While they "Investigate" the other guy. The entire time your $2000 is sitting in some bank account somewhere drawing interest for Paypal. You MIGHT eventually get your money back, but if you do, they're keeping all that interest.

Now, the interest on $100 for 6 months may not be that much, but when you consider that they do it pretty widespread, you can multiply that interest by the hundreds of thousands. Not to mention the money they never give back at all.

They are still holding like $400 of my money from over a year ago. No emails about the status of an investigation, nothing. No updates on my account info or about if and WHEN I'll ever get that money.

I chalked it up as a loss...

Never give your out password...that should be pretty obvious advice.

Did you know that when you type your password to these forums in, it shows as all stars to everyone but you? Watch, here's my password, *******. All you guys see is stars right? It's a pretty cool addition to phpBB actually. Try it yourself. You'll see your password because you're logged in, but all we will see is asterisks.
