RALEIGH, N.C. - The billboard image is striking: a photo of a man shrouded in a traditional Arab head scarf clutching a grenade and a North Carolina driver’s license.

The message: “Don’t license terrorists, North Carolina.â€

A New York-based group that plans to place the ad near North Carolina’s Capitol this month says it is meant as a critique of the state’s driver’s license laws but Arab-American groups complain it is inflaming an anti-Arab sentiment.

“The message of the ad says that Arabs are dangerous and violent people and that therefore they should not get driver’s licenses and I think it’s bigoted. It’s racist,†said Christine Saah Nazer of the Washington D.C.-based Arab American Institute.

Amanda Bowman, president of the Coalition for a Secure Driver’s License, which is launching the billboard campaign in North Carolina, Wisconsin and New Mexico, said the ad targets only terrorists.

“We’re not going after Arab-Americans,†Bowman said. “We’re going after terrorists.â€

That s funny..so how the hell would they know which one is a terrorist?

thats not racist..they arent saying fuck all arabs..they are just trying to make a point altho they are suckin hardcore..its more ignorant then racist..

they'll know if they're terrorists if they do a thorough enough background check, i think that's what they are trying to do with that bill-board, it was probably some lobbyist group trying to push the state senate to authorize more thorough background checks for driver's licensing or some shit

and it's not racist at all

the people who blew up the world trade center towers were RADICAL MILITANT ISLAMIC TERRORISTS...those people are the problem. and fucking admit it...most of them are arabs, get off the high-horse and quit pretending, most of them are arabs, just say it, you can point out all kinds of little exceptions here and there but take a second to look through that deck of cards with all of the most wanted terrorists on there, look at their faces...their names...not that hard to notice

what pisses me off is when someone sees ^ that (what i just wrote), they think you are a racist...when really you're just trying to be practical.

honestly, if you put up an advertisement about...fuck...i dunno...farming or some shit, you would probably have a picture of some old guy with a straw hat chewing tobacco. it's called good advertising. you have to "speak" with the pictures. if they had a picture of an some rich white guy in his 40's on the beach holding a grenade and a driver's license with the text "don't let terrorists drive" people would probably be confused as hell, i would, i would start looking up in the sky of the picture to see if i saw a plane or some shit.

OH and another thing, those arabs that are all pissed and complaining about it are fucking themselves and so is anyone else who says that sign is racist. because if you use THOSE PEOPLE'S own damn logic...you could turn around and say "how do you know they are arab? not ALL arabs wear those things on their head...i've seen white, black, asian, and all kinds of different races wear those things on their head...oooooooo you're a fucking racist" blah blah blah. it's true, think about it

i'm sick of all this PC shit, people need to open their fucking eyes

nah, because one time this white lady from boston, age 83, from irish
descent carried a bomb on to a plane and ..... nope, never happened.

BUT

she held up the line to get on the plane in atlanta so they could search her
and not be 'stereotyping' anyone, gg fg0ts, grow some balls.

i was reliving an event that happened to me flying to paris.

and saying that it is FUCKING RETARDED to take that woman out of the line
just so not to "stereotype" anyone else. ok?
