Before anything else (I tend to use that sentence a lot at serious moments :P) I'd like to say that I am intending a serious discussion here, so no random chatter. Or I'll make you regret somehow ;) After a recent discussion with my mother about several subjects - where music seemed to take quite long, which is a bit unexpected - we got to the point how well someone can act under a lot of pressure. As some amy know, I am hoping for a study course related to writing, talking and more of such. At the moment, I have other things to worry about, like my current study, but that will not stop me from discussing subjects about possible future studies. But back ontopic - pressure. I was wondering how people here would react on it. Take the example of eh... well, I guess there are more students here than anything else, so take the example of finishing a very important school assignment. Important as in that it will have a lot of influence, or will decide if you and others, like classmates or friends, graduates/pass'/whatever. Now think of this, they say you have to finish it in one month of time. We take the example of a month having 31 days and you haven't done a thing - because of any possible reason, such as family business or just laziness, I am familiar with both and most excuses don't work so well for me anymore :P - for the last 30 days, meaning you only have one day and one night to finish the assignment. How would you react? Will you try it, but it won't go right because you just can't concentrate well under such heavy pressure? Would you don't even start about it because you know it will go wrong? Will you work on it as if there is no pressure at all? Would your concentration be more intensive than before because of the pressure? Would you try to share the work with others because you know you can't handle it on your own? Or would such a thing never happen to you (bit of a non-possible option though, otherwise the thread's subject is of no use)? Well, those are all just examples of what you could do, not necessarily there is one which will be a description of yourself. Know that most people will break after getting a lot of pressure on their shoulders. They don't know what to do, sometimes they try to work on it, but halfway, they break down and they just give up. A lot of variations of happenings could occur because of it. Now I am wondering how you guys would handle it. Consider it a small 'research' of the like, I might be using this in a possible future, if necessary =) or I just keep it around to motivate myself or so :P Oh yes, I'll post my description a little later because of several reasons. =) - Fladian
