Forget Worm. He's a kid. When I was in the Air Force gas was 35 cents a gallon and cigarettes were about the same a pack.  You could rent a really nice apartment for $350 a month. A new car was about $6000 for a nice model. Full car insurance including liability, collision, comprehensive was $440 a year.
