Saving modded RoC/TFT Campaigns?

Ok, I have looked at a bunch of the other threads and have not seen anything yet to help me sooo gonna make a post.
I have been working on a custom campaign, but have been using the RoC/TFT campaigns to see how the triggers work, ect. I have been able to moddify the maps by extracting them, then deleting them from the MPQ file, otherwise the MPQ would be read first and override any changes I would make to the maps extracted.
Now comes my problem. For some unknown reason to me, any changes to these campaign maps no longer save any info between maps. For example, if I give Arthas an Orb of Frost in Human 1 of RoC, he doesn't have it in the next level. The default Arthas just loads with no inventory.
Now these maps still have the triggers for "Level Data", which has the regular save Hero data trggers; Create Game Cache xxx, Game Cache - Store Hero, Game Cache- Save.
Do I have to name a new Game Cache besides the default one RoC and TFT use, "Campaigns.w3v"?
I am at a loss....

well... erm... that sounds like a good start. i haven't done any editing of the original campaigns so i can't really help you there. i suggest just getting the original files and checking to se if there is any difference in them. check to make sure the file name for the caches is the same for each map in the campaign. other then that, i don't know.

Thank you so much!
It turns out that it does have to do with the naming of the Trigger for saving game caches. After going through that tutorial and changing the gamecache trigger to TestGC it work perfect!
Thanks again!

It had something to do with the default campaign save file, campaigns.w3v. Iether there is an original file in the MPQ file overriding my changes that I missed, or some kind of security feature.
Just changing some of the values and changing the save file in the triggers made the difference.
Thanks again.
