Shields?

What's the reason behind no shields? I get autosnipes and awps, but shields are nowhere as lame as they were in 1.6/earlier and are usually good fun to use/go up against.

because they are even lamer in cz...at least in 1.6 u took no damage in cz its almost like u ddont even have a shield

yeah, shields are really really retarded in cz. In 1.6 you actually needed some skills and tactics to bring down a shield user.

Nothing was more fun than juking out a shielder and knifing him in the back.

Exactly, they're far weaker than they used to be, thus not as much an advantage in having them..

Plus, the skill is now not on the person attacking the shield-user, but on the shield-user him/herself.. (now its more tactical than just lame )

So my question, again, why no shields? ^_^

In cz you can just shoot theyre feet so tehy are usless. It would basically be like getting your self screwed over ever time.

While they aim at your feet, you can deagle em in the head. Or, when they shoot at your head and miss..you can deagle em while they're aiming at your feet. And, the best part, when they waste a clip on you and you deagle..well you get the point.

Its not really the thing to buy in a solo game..again "t a c t i c a l" shield..not 'solo pwn' shield.

Everyone bitches about the shield like they do the awp.....I hate the awp. Why? it owns me and I get owned using it. But I don't mind the shield. I think it helps you hone your skills when you're up against one of these. Timing is everything and the shield isn't a one-shot-wonder like the awp. I especially love using the shield to drive the team rush and protect the whole team while they rush single file.

Exactly, its more of a team item than some lame solo tool like the AWP. Plus i've awp'd before, the red dot doesn't have to go anywhere near the target to kill it in 1 shot..i think a leg shot from the wall near bombsite A to DD's at B in dust2 will do 104.
