Ok I'll keep this short and sweet. Maybe it's just me but does anyone else notice that people keep saying 'nub,' in games? The first time I saw that I was like "what the fuck... did you seriously just call me a nub (...it ryhmes with tub, not... boob, see my point?)?" Also I'd just like to say that calling somebody a 'noob,' means that they've done something dumb, or immature... like calling someone a nub. NEWB, means they're new to the game.

To recap:

Newb: New to game
Noob: Idiot/Immature
Nub: ...

Noob can mean a lot of things, I hate when people use it outside of a game as an actual insult. It means nothing outside of a video game..

Newb isn't pronounced like Noob either, it's pronounced New-bee. Watch the first few season of scrubs and you'll get what I mean. Dr. Cox calls JD it all the time.

I concur . I haven't been in a game once without someone calling me a
"law nub" or "noob" or "stupid noob" .

It's usually because I'm owning them up so bad , they have to think of something to insult me about other than my skillz . rofl .

MooCow , great post . I thought they all meant New to something , but thanks for clearing that up . I always thought it was a lame insult telling me I'm new to the game , and I'm like wth ? I've played since Mid last year !
