Has anyone else tried it? My opinion: if the game itself will be as much fun as this little tool, it will be as popular as The Sims.

I've heard a lot of good things about Spore, but I haven't read up on it yet or done much with it. Kinda sad to say that it's because of a lack of time, considering that someone has been bugging me with this for more than a year now.
Nonetheless it was supposed to reach at least the same reputation level as The Sims, which is quite the assignment.

Well, i can say that the Creature Creator is already quite addicting. If not the fact that i'm obsessed with fixing the map i'm developing recently i'd sit on it even now.

yes it is. i have the free version and i so want the full one! maybe, perhaps, when i get money i'll be happy...
anyway, since everyone was making zerglings i decided to be different. i made a hydralisk. but it didn't turn out so i deleted it. then i made a hork-bajir. he looks kinda goofy but i think that's just the way it has to be in spore. the next one was some scorpion thing which i think i will use when i get the game. it's really sneaky and has 12 eyes. can't do social to save it's life but it can fight! then i made a mutalisk. which is actually kinda cute when it walks cos it's wings flail back and forth.

Well, i made mutant frog with crab pincers, something that my mum called "mantis-like"(doesn't look like anything we have in the real world TBH), a cross-breed of an ogre and a beetle, a demonic giraffe, and my favourite that i might use in the full game - Titanus. It's so HUGE that it doesn't fit into the screen completely in the SPORE-pedia. I can post a screenshot by request.
has anyone had more success with importing?

way too cartoonish for my liking
