Steam/CS/CZ helper programs

I down loaded a program a while ago (2 years or so) that is supposed to help with FPS. You enter your connection rate and it calculates and edites the user config file.

I have been on other servers with HLGuard and have not had a problem... But I wonder...

If there are reminants of these programs out there that will cause HLGuard to catch it one day.

We all know there are false positives.. Heck I deal with SPAM and Anti-Virus all day... so I know what false positives are....

But it makes you think... What if you renamed your account three times in a row.. cauze you didnt like the spelling or the way it layed out on the screen... or you forgot to put quotes around it.

Would HLGuard kick you for that...

I dont know the program and haven't had a chance to look at it... But it does make you think.

HLG can have false positives but this is not the case.

Over at UA the staff has spoken on my question about the ban. They say it's legit and that he was caught using a well known norecoil script.

No recoil is something I think a lot of players use and they may not even consider it a hack...but it is. Without recoil your aim is that much better.

i just don't really even want to believe that puppet was cheating. i mean, i never even noticed anything odd about him, just that he was good. but if thats the case thats the case. doesn't make it suck any less
