how many servers can a T1 line support? for say like 32 person BF:2
servers. like the punx server, are there 10 servers running off of that
line? or do they run separate lines for each server or for a group of
servers?

if i was to set up a "cafe" with cs, bf, wow, and diablo, would i need a
separate server for each game?

just some nub questions i had, thx for any input.

I don't suggest a T1. They are not economical. Get multiple cable or DSL lines. Also to run in-house servers you may not need multiple servers to run dedicateds. You could essentially run a few game servers on a single hardware server.

I had a T1 before and it's ok but really expensive. You could get 3-5 top speed broadband lines for the same price.

Currently, I'm running a CS:S dedi server, CS:CZ dedi server, SW:BF2 dedi server in my house (but I'm bringin down the CZ server in favor of an FTP server 8) )and Omni is right about the cable/dsl vs. T1, because i have 4 10Mbps Cable lines running to my house to support the servers......it's way cheaper!!!!!!

If you live near a big city you might want to check out verizon fios. fiber lines. middle package is $45. and its like 15mb down and 2mb up. or you could pay $100 and get like 45mb down and like 5mb up. its some nice bandwidth for the price.

Need more info...

I have been looking into this option, but all I have seen so far is a 2 port load balancing router for about $900. How much is the Belkin? I can look up info and reviews myself. Are you satisfied with it? Help plz.
