Seriously, that bites! I liked Steve Irwin! And I actually expected him to die getting eaten by a crocodile.... and I've never even heard about anyone getting killed by a sting ray... stung by one, maybe, but killed?

Yeah, anyway, as far as I know, there's no thread about this that I am aware of. I was first alerted to it by a news thing I saw on Yahoo.com, and then I was even further made aware of it by Werewulf's shout out thing.

*whew*, that sucks man... another one of the worlds famous celebrities gone down the drain...

I am... shocked by hearing the news as well. Unfortunately, I heard it quite late and on a... not very pleasant way. I read it on the SCH forum when I was browsing a bit on it. When it comes to something like that, I prefer to read/hear it in a different way.

I've had little experience with the... uh... shows of Steve Irwin, but I know about his reputation and his fame, and I respect him for that.

As a forum member of a different forum said: "So... he can die after all."

Yeah, that's what I heard too. That would hurt...

I didn't really think he'd die from a poisonous bite, cuz I bet he's been bitten lots of times, and is either pumped full of anti-venom juice or just developed an immunity, lol
Just kidding.

I heard that what happaned was more of an accident than anything. He was following the sting ray, right behind it, and it just sort of flicked its tail, didn't even mean to sting him... that's just what I heard, I don't know if that's how it actualy happened.

According to the news, it isn't really the poisen that killed him. It was the fact that the sting was near the heart-area which made it fatal.

Well it wasnt this WoW Addict , I never actual thought about him dying untill it happened though , The way he could handle being with animals i wouldnt think one would but he did test his luck quite a bit.

Yes, you'd think he could handle a sting ray after handling crocs. But I guess he just couldn't lol.
