The M203 - YES , NO , THOUGHTS

I've been planning to make this thread for awhile , so now's my chance .

The M203 is a Launcher modification that attachs to the rail of an M4 , M16A3 , etc etc etc . It fires small explosive shells . Well , it more , "lobs" them .

If you look at the Sand Hog loading screen , the M4 the guy is holding has one.

If any of you have played Soldier Of Fortune 2 Double Helix , and used the M4A1 , You will remember that that has one also .

Do you think we should get this in Combat Arms ? ? ?

If we do , I say its a modification , 800GP for one day , with a rank restriction of CSM 3 . 2 Shells per respawn .

What do you think ?

you should be able to attach to any AR so its fair. 500 gp per day takes place of gernades and choose form gas, frag, flash gernades.

I will repeat myself . The M203 fires EXPLOSIVE Shells .

Not GRENADES . And not every AR has a rail attachment system . Only :

MK16 SCAR-L
M4A1
MP5 RAS
M16A3

and a few others . 500 GP isn't enough , as this is a modification , and won't take the place of your grenade .

Rank should be very high indeed . Maybe 2LT 5 . CSM 3 is too low, now that I think about it .

It wouldn't work on an MP-5...well it might...but it wouldn't be a good idea in real life anyway.

The G-36k, Styre AUG, AK-47, M-16/4/416, AK-74, SCAR-L, FAMAS and SG-550 have all had M-203 variants or their Russian counterparts mounted on them and have been used in combat. I'm sure they've made some for the Submachine guns, but it'd be a retarded idea if you ask me.

For the most part, that covers all of the guns except the M-14 and K-2 in combat arms.

I wouldn't drop money on it. Alotta my grenadework is done because I'm bouncing them off of walls and the like. Plus it'd probably drop your mobility, which would KILL me. no pun intended.

I know a guy who has an M-203 mounted under the barrel of his UMP for Airsoft...but it's ungodly awkward. It just doesn't feel right.

It would be a great idea, 2 shells per spawn, but the only thing is that if they underpower it like the LAW, and make it so you have to headshot the person with it, then no.

M203 would be a great addition to some maps... but like in Deathroom and Junk-Flea... I can see everyone sitting back and lobing shells back and forth.. kind of boring..
