I noticed that inno posted for help with what to buy for the desktop he wants to build. I was just wondering if I could get some opinions and advice.
I'm considering upgrading my video card, I currently have a ati 9600se 128 DDR. I just want to get something that will let me play CZ and CSS on higher details and not sacrifice the fps that I would have to now.
My current system:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+
512 ddr333
7,200 80gb hd
and a 8x/4x agp slot
I've been looking at ati just because that is what I currently have, I'm open to other suggestions. I'd like to spend $300 or less if possible. I don't want to spend too much because I have to get an agp card and when I build my next desktop in a year or two I won't beable to use the agp card since I'll probably get PCI-X.
I'm also wondering if I could get the performance I want out of an older card like the 9800xt instead of investing in one of the new ati x series (like the x800xt).
