here comes another shot of nubness from blze:

i dl'd the trillian install cabinet but before i install i have some questions:

1. Will Trillian locate and use my passwords for accounts i alreay have
such as Yahoo, AIM, and Mirc?

2. Will i need to or should i uninstall these programs after i install Trillian?

3. Does the HLIT/HLSW tool in Trillian work?

4. wtf is ICQ? Just another IM engine?

5. Finally, if i install this beast, can i use it on a trial basis like, keep all
of my other stuff on my HD just in case (i have a lot of pw's i dont know
because they have been set up for years and i just use the auto-login
feature)?

yes, i could spend hours looking for these on the internet but then what

I am pretty sure that when I loaded Trill I had to create all the accounts manually but it pulled the contacts from the server for me.


2. Will i need to or should i uninstall these programs after i install Trillian?
I didn't. You can if you want to get some space back on your hard drive but I kept my programs because if Trillian isn't working and I want to see if it's my account or Trillian or the internet connection then I just load AIM, or MSNIM and test.

3. Does the HLIT/HLSW tool in Trillian work?
I wish I knew. I have the trillian addon check box checked but I have never had anyone say that when I was playing a game through HLSW that Trillian told them I was off playing. I'd like to test this with you though.

4. wtf is ICQ? Just another IM engine?
Yes, an old one. I don't use it anymore.
