http://www.wc3campaigns.com

It's official now.
It's hard to see the site shutting down,
It was a great help for me long time ago.
Damn it the years are going through too fast don't you think?
It was so alive just 2 years ago.

Lets thank Draco for supporting us for all that time.

Thanks Draco!

But now to the present,
WC3Anvil might become bigger now so cheers! :yay:

So I noticed. Quite strange, since I happened to visit it only yesterday.

Quite a shame, actually. It was, in general, a very successful site. I share both a lot of good memories there, but unfortunately, also a lot of bad memories. Eitherway, I was a member of Wc3c in my, probably, hardest time of life until now :p So it was a great stress reliever, in a way.
I'm sure Wc3c will have a nice place in my heart... somewhere.

Most people here, that have been a member of Wc3c probably don't know the first upgrade of Wc3c. Fortunately, I do know it, and you could say that I enjoyed my time the most at that time. That was also a time when I wasn't called Fladian at Wc3c yet - it was Dark Dragon. In all honestly, I missed that time a lot, but especially the mood that was around there before the first upgrade. Back then, I was very active in the "Warcraft III Discussion" forum, which was removed right before the first upgrade.
I decided to try to recreate that "mood" at a certain time, but couldn't find a fitting sub-forum. Finally, I decided I'd try and recreate that mood in the Campaign/Team Gathering forum, which, I was successful in, and eventually became a moderator - and the member with the most posts, by far :p (When I left, I noticed Vexorian catched up)

According to Decadence, a member who I knew previously only from his 'exceptional' avatar, there was a very "special" time before I joined. Though, I can't say much about it, since I know not much about it. Before I could learn too much about that time, Decadence decided not to like me, and I suddenly got three very influental members against me.

Anyway, don't stick to the past for too long even if you were attached to it. It'll become... irritating. Let's give our main attention to Wc3Anvil now, since I am sure we can make this a very good community, so come on, and post, damn it :p I'll keep the threads alive with my rambeling, if necessary ;)

Seeing Wc3Campaigns go is good in my opinion, it was on its last legs anyways after the forum change. I don't have very fond memories of Wc3Campaigns however, it brought out the worst of me.

WC3C, while I despised some of the things the admins did to other sites, was great. It was great in its heyday, but it had dropped to the lowest of low in recent days.

Let us focus on the future of the WC3 community, which is already in pretty abyssmal shape.

It was on its last legs, that was for sure. Not to mention that I left the forum out of a fight, I guess that said enough.

JetPack, as you probably know, I'm quite forgetful when it comes to names, but weren't you one of the people who volunteerd for the Stories Galore moderator position back at Wc3c? If so, then I understand well enough what you mean with your last line :)

When there is no individual actions left, people start to follow others. Unfortunately, the people that were used as an example had no real interest left in Wc3c, and didn't mind it would just... die. Take RightField as example, though one heck of a member, he mentioned more than once that his interest in Wc3c was not big, but he had no intention of seeing it die so soon with his project around.

It's small, but there are enough posts in this forum to keep it alive... oh wait, those are Esc. and my posts :p Come on you guys, post a little more :p

What done is done. You can't turn the tape back too many times. Though the words, "I should've spend more time there" is not fitting for me :p

Anyway, let's try to make Wc3Anvil popular as well :D

Were already on the right path.
Got going topics already some members and growing.
And this forum just rocks when it comes to artwork!

We're on the right path, alright. Though it is getting a little quiet for the past... days...

Going topics, yeah, I guess. Though I am not just satisfied with a handful. I'm used to post in numbers and very used to read multiple posts at the same time. Both of what I just named, are not happening, and I am feeling a little unsettled because of it :p
That the members are growing, is most likely thanks to Wanrico.

Artwork, eh? Aren't you the only one who posted artwork right now?

Ahw, my mistake. Then, well, yeah, I guess you're right. Though I remain very fond on the Night Elf banner of the Wc3campaigns forum, this is fine as well. More importantly, I heavily enjoy a dark background, just like Wc3campaigns had. I don't like white backgrounds... I don't use a white background on my computer folders either, my standard is light blue. That's more... relaxing for the eyes, in my opinion.

...I'm rambeling again.

Well it's still about wc3campaigns,
I'm thinking of placing buttons under the logo like wc3campaigns had and many other sites have but I haven't thought about it allot.

I know thats a populair thing to do. Never the less i doubt you want to be just another clone. i think using some of them is great but not all of them, maybe the really populair ones, you dont want to be a wc3c clone. I personaly like the newcommers icon already.
Eitherway its up to you.

That would be a good idea. I can't remember any forum that doesn't use things like that... oh wait, I do know one.

Or at least, if I understood it right :p
