I recently installed the Windows 7 beta OS. My first words was it looked nice, very nice. Much better than Vista and Vista users will be very much at home. Here is a screenshot of my desktop.

You can try it yourself too, go to the Microsoft website and download it for yourself. It's 2GB so have a think before you try. And you don't need a serial key. It asks you for one during installation, but just click accept or next. And just install it on a different drive if you want to keep your existing OS.

You don't have to get one. If you don't enter one, you have 30 days to activate one. So you can use it for 30 days before you need one.

I can pass one to you or Google for some. No, its free. Go to the Microsoft website and read everything about the install carefully.

One of my mates got this and has nothing but good things to say about it. It is just the beta version so you can get it for free. It is a beta so be sure to you know what beta means and that you read warnings before you install this. It will expire august 1st of 2009.

It seems as if microsoft has a trend of having a good operating system every other time they try. I still use XP Pro Corp. bc Vista is crap. So I guess if the trend follows, Windows 7 should be good.

None. When you are using 32-bit Windows 7 it will read all 4GB of RAM. And from this information, 64-bit Windows 7 will read even more than 4GB of RAM. Since it is still in beta. It will occasionally slow up, possibly freezing, but it is overall 10x better than Vista.

Ohhhhh. Well I am running 3 programs at the moment and it's only taking up 2-5% of the CPU. When I did the same thing on Vista, it was at 3-7% CPU usage, so there is a good difference. Oh and I have AMD Athlon Dual Core 3.1Ghz.
