[QUOTE="TerranUp16, post: 122725, member: 5920"] [color=blue]Even the normal generals are not balanced. You need to remove the US because of the Auroras. Basically, the only balanced game is between a normal China and a normal GLA. That actually has decent balance. However, it is still very turtle-heavy, and most games end up taking forever, but barely any of that time is spent in battle. Act of War: Direct Action is in many ways a similar game, so much in some areas that some consider it a clone of Generals. However, AoW differs greatly. For one, it is actually balanced. So well in fact, that it earns my award for best balanced RTS. AoW has no Auroras, or any other unit like them. AoW's air system is totally revamped, and more realistic, as well as better balanced than Generals'. AoW also neutralized super weapons, sort of. Super weapons have counters, and thus there is a whole mini-game within the game of attempting to breach your enemy's super weapon defenses. In other areas, the game is completely balanced between the factions, who all have their own distinct feels, and their own methods of attaining victory.
