in germany there is a software wich you can use to convert vids for the wii and music also.
so ithink when its in germany its also in uk

I know this should be moved to to the help and advice, but I can't resist to answer.
No, there is no DVD player on the Wii, and there is no software attachments to allow DVD playing. Nintendo just thought that pretty much everybody that can get a Wii probably has a DVD player already, in which I can understand, why put more money into a console when it isn't nessesary?
