[QUOTE="Miran_Eitan, post: 97687, member: 4189"] Personal attacks? really? I was trying to have a dignified discussion and here we go with the whining. Just because I started being a geek in 97 doesn't mean I never played games before it. I've beaten Doom 1 through 3 multiple times. I started on X-wing Alliance and actually worked backwords through the games beforehand. You were calling it an arcade shooter in another topic. I'm sorry if this doesn't apply over, but I have a long memory. Comes with being redundant [/sarcasm]. Tasers have less than a 1% fatality rate last I checked. They have hundreds of thousands of uses in the field, with somewhere in the ballpark of two hundred fatalities, mostly stemming from being shocked multiple times. If you really want me to, I can look up deaths from martial arts and/or hand to hand combat and draw a really pretty graph. Rose colored glasses?...You're scraping the bottom of the barrel for personal insults there my friend. You must have a photographic memory, if you never use the internet. In college, I've been required to write quadrillions of essays, I've TAed, tutored and even taught one class on history and I can't tell you a single time that I did it without the help of the internet on at least one occasion. I know for a fact that a majority of my professors use it on regular occasions. My psych teacher uses the internet to source most of his lectures and he's got a PHD. I'd say he knows what he's talking about. You're very eager to prove your point. I never said I didn't play games BEFORE 97. There's millions of games out on the market, from Atari to X-box 360, from E.T. to Crysis. When I said this... Notice the phrase top ranking? Key words. I don't have the time or money to buy every game that comes out. I have to pay for things like rent, gas and I dunno...food?
