Problem with lag

It may be our internet, but nothing except counter-strike seems to be affected. Internet Explorer loads just as quickly as ever. Whenever Fenire and I are an at the same time, I lag.

I was hoping you guys might know of some ways to fix it up, I'm not really very good with computers.

are you talkin about the precacheing resources or just flat out lagg in the server... cause it takes me a good min. to change maps.

Why is it only when the two of you are on?

I dont have a problem with lagg at all. I just have a problem with the time it takes to change maps, I think it could be my processor...


To answer the question. No were not on the same connection.

Relearn your cz port number for xp firewall. to do this go to control panel, click security center, select windows firewall, select exceptions. you will see something along the lines of:

hl2.exe
hl.exe
steam.exe


check them and delete, then re add them by using the .exe commands or port number.

exe for cz is hl.exe
for source is hl2.exe
port number for cz is 27015
