Steam all Fuxored up?

Well..can't play right now...seems I need a steam network update and......it won't update. any help here?

and now I got the damn update but when it's downloading the authentication certificate it times out and says it can't contact the server or sometihng....pisses me off sobad.

any advice?

delete the clientregistery.blob file in your steam folder and restart steam
