I use a rubber keyboard, also known as a "roll-up keyboard". It's easy to clean, silent, and get's the job done. Best $10 at Staples I ever spent.

i use to have merc but was that used to qwerty i soon upgraded to microsoft reclusa (powered by razer), nice blue led under keys, cant switch it off tho , not that it bothers me i use pc on a night more, keys are quiet apart from spacebar which is slightly louder but still quiet ebough, i like the volume button on side to which i use a lot, also the eject key is a nice touch if ur pc is in arkward position, i have the microsoft habu mouse, very comfortable mouse for right handers
