The date March 2008 keeps popping up in the link, but who knows in all honesty. Its good to know these things are being made for the market though.

and yes, that IS WiiWare, but it makes you think. It looks like you will need an external hard-drive for this one.

"Following Nintendo's press briefing earlier today in Japan, new details have come to light on the company's initial lineup of Wii Ware downloadable games for the Japanese market.

Coinciding with third party announcements like Star Soldier R, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, and Moji Pittan Wii, Nintendo itself announced four games of its own: Dr. Mario & Saikin Bokumetsu, Pokemon Bokujou Channel, Maruboushikaku, and Minna de Puzzloop. Here's what we know about each game.

In Pokemon Bokujou Channel (that's English for Pokemon Ranch Channel), you transfer your your Pokemon from Diamond and Pearl on the DS to your Wii. You can then manage the Pokemon in a ranch environment. You're free to bring your Mii and your family's Miis to your ranch and can do things like taking pictures of your Pokemon which can then be sent to friends.

Dr. Mario & Saikin Bokumetsu (the Japanese at the end translates to "Bacteria Extermination") is a remake of the classic Dr. Mario puzzler. You can make your Mii appear in place of the Mario characters, and can challenge friends over Wi-Fi. The game includes the Saikin Bokumetsu game from the Japanese Brain Age 2, which can now be play cooperatively with four players.

Maruboushikaku is a puzzle game themed in three patterns: maru (circle), bou (line) and shikaku (square). The game displays three game windows simultaneously, each focusing on one of these patterns. Your actions in one window have effects in the other windows, which should make for a blast when playing in three player mode.

Finally, Minna de Puzzloop (Puzzloop with Everyone). This is a Wii version of the game that was released in America as Magnetica. You use the Wii mote for direct control. The game supports up to four players for cooperative and competitive play.

The Wii Ware titles will be downloaded in similar fashion to Virtual Console games. You purchase them using Wii Points from the Wii Shopping Channel, then can access them as separate channels from the main Wii interface.

Pricing and release dates were not announced for these titles, but we're expecting them to arrive close to the Japanese launch of the service in March of next year." Link
