Beyond this life

It recently occured to me that I've never really wondered what happens when we die. As my sig suggests, I don't fear death, just the process of dying. Will my death be a slow and painful process, or will it be over before I even realize it.
And also, what happens then? I don't believe for a second that we just cease to exist after we die (otherwise, what's the point of living here on Earth?), but other than that, I really have no idea what life-after-death must be like.

What are your opinions about death and what lies beyond?

i believe life is ephimeral, meaning it doesnt last forever...
im not religious at all like 0%
but i do believe that there is a world beyond ours, meaning for the dead, deceased people's souls leave this world only to be recreated on this other world

If the Kings Quest games has taught us anything it is that you visit the land of the dead after you die, you can always come back though so there isn't anything to worry about.

i wouldnt mind death sometimes, tried to kill myself afew times..er awhile ago..like ages.... think of it either as you no longer feel any more emotions of sadness or pain, your merely gone/never exist.. or either that heaven and hell stuff which i have a low % on.

It's something that no one can say in facts, but what will wait for you after your death depends a lot if you're religious too. I don't happen to be, and I don't believe in Heaven, Hell or reincarnation. I just think it stops when you're dead. Though this is something that I might want to think about a bit longer.

Thats how I feel as well, I don't want to die without leaving some important impression on this world.

Oh, it isn't me who said that. I only quoted.
I only partly agree with it though, though I must admit, it is something that comes to mind when I read about things like that.

I'm not afraid of dying at all, nor the process of it or anything else, as a matter of fact, I considerd it more than once before. It's just... that I don't want to leave the people that care for me.
When I look at my study course at the moment, there is no way I'll be able to make a name for me with that. I won't be able to with the personality that I own, and there is nothing in particular that I can achieve (except awards) when I get the job that I would like to have. Not that it all matters to me though. I only focus on one thing, and one thing only. All things that happen around me such as school, work, radio or Fladian Lince himself, they are all quite trivial.

I'm animist, i believe in the spiritual energy of the Whole. When you die, you come backto the Whole and share your experiences with the Earth. Each piece of you will be a new leaf, the air that will be breathed or even another human being. Death itself is just a trip

I believe that after we die, we exist as spirits for a while, until we are judged whether we should go to Heavan or Hell. But either way, we are ressurected with whole, immortal bodies.

Well, I could say that I don't believe in anything after the death, but I don't really have a theory about a medium. Someone who is supposed to speak with the death. It's hard to say they are all fake.
