Cheating relationships

My opinion on the whole "I was drunk" thing, is one of: What a load of rubbish. Sorry to be so harsh, but no, being drunk IS NOT an excuse for cheating, I don't drink myself,
Alcohol doesn't have as much effect on me as what is mostly told (hangovers however :p), as I usually have full control over my actions, but it just lets me adjust faster to my enviroment. I reactions are completely similar if I adjust to the enviroment normally.

However, though I agree with you when saying "being drunk is not an excuse for cheating," (by the way, I don't drink much either, partly because I don't like beer, but mostly because I don't need alcohol to become lively) I was not referring to the fact someone cheated on each other by being drunk. I cannot recall anyone I (personally) know which it happened to. Besides that, there are people who are the opposite of me when it comes to reactions to alcohol. All friends of an old friend of mine forbid him to drink alcohol because he simply cannot handle it. Not only does he forget completely everything from what happened after a single drop, but he also gets extremely annoying, which is of no importance to this. If he would have cheated on his girlfriend when being drunk, we all as his friends, wouldn't be too surprised, and I'm sure he won't remember a thing about it. Haven't seen him drink alcohol since I've been friends with him though, but I haven't seen him for almost a year now either.

mainly because I know some very bad things that have happened to some of my friends.
Though alcohol did mess up some stuff for friends and myself at times (I only have bad memories from my first hangover), it also gave it's pleasant moments. However, I've yet to see anything see go wrong relationship-wise with the cause of alcohol. I don't deny it being possible though, as it is only logical it could happen.

I sure hope I don't ever hear that excuse from someone close to me,
That makes two of us.

and I'm glad my fiance doesn't drink too :) Saves us money:
Yeah, that's another way of looking at it. :p
It's ironic that most of my friends don't much either, well, except parties of course. As I have my regular few sips on parties as well. As I recall... "During parties a lot of things are allowed. Despite that I usually don't drink - especially during school days - parties are a big exception. Smokin' and drinking is just part of it." - a friend. My reaction was a blunt one (duh) though: "Yet you have a party at least three times a month." (The reaction was simple and quick, it didn't make my quote of the day though: "Big family.")
