Okay so I have the other operating system in the boot menu. However when I try and start up from my Windows Pro disk it goes to the loading screen, then freezes, then a screen comes up saying "autochk not found" and the computer restarts. My windows xp pro 64 still starts up normally.

Your boot menu should have an entry for multi/rdisk/disk for the XP pro installation that points to the kernels folder, which is likely "windows". Later we will find out WHY it wants to run chkdsk on your boot disk but for now we need to find out why it can't find the file to do it. Load your 64bit install and then go to the disk that has XP pro 32bit on it and check for this file's existence:

d:\windows\system32\autochk.exe

So do this for me. Go to RUN and enter WINMSD and click ok. When it comes up go to FILE and click SAVE and choose a filename. Send me that .NFO file along with a copy of your boot.ini to gil_bern@adelphia.net
