Well, my LCD is one of the best then i guess, cause its SUPERIOR compared to what i had before, even if it would be in the best condition. (well, the CRT i had was extremely hard to configure the screen, edges were wierd...) And also the range of my monitor is enough in the place i am sitting at(near the window). And i dont seem to have something called "dead pixels" too. Unless i learn what it is, then i might tell you more.
Dead pixels.
The LCD screen is divided into number of pixels, each of them into 3 subpixels for each color. They are like little lanterns, at each screen refresh moment they are updated (ones get turned off, ones get turned on, change subpixel combination etc.). Dead pixels are the pixels that are lighting one color all the time, like they do not respond. That's very annoying I must say, for example one pixel lighting pink at the center of the screen.
Well i heard Samsung is the best great refresh and response time but very expensive... a real nice one of their 19" was like 600 but VERY super nice, no ghosting ever
