My favorite shooter hands down was Halo 3. It was a perfect balance of competitiveness and fun game play. I think it truly took a lot of skill and strategy you couldnt just "spray and pray". I would play it for hours with my friends
My favorite shooter would have to be Counter-Strike since it was once of the first fps that I've ever played competitively. It was a great game to play while going to computer cafes and lan centers. That's where I actually did most of my gaming as a kid. I would probably spend about $40 a week playing at those types of cafes since it was only $2.00 an hour. The game required a lot of skill and appealed to me in such a great way.
Man I am tired of hearing COD COD COD COD. I'd play Half Life 2 over it any day of the week. If I was forced into a second choice, I'd probably say Bioshock or Quake (1, 2 or Arena).
My vote is for Socom, how ever they totally ruined Socom 4. They jocked COD so hard they should have named the game Soduty. I wish developers would learn, COD does what COD does best! They should make their own game with their own ideas!
