I know this is a Guild Wars subforum, but there has to be a little room to love it's sequel as well, right?

I was so excited when I found out Guild Wars 2 got a release date!
August 28th, for those of you who don't know.

Who else is excited? Who's played in the beta?

I haven't played the beta but I'm definitely planning on getting it asap when it's out. It looks like it will revolutionize many aspects of the MMORPG genre, and even if it doesn't there is no subscription just the one time payment so I'm not losing much by playing it for a few months.

I personally enjoy it a ton and everyone I've talked to that's played it likes it so far.
I think you'd enjoy it and hey, as you said, it's a one time pay.
